Alpaca Breeding in Oregon

Breeding Alpacas in Oregon - Raising and Breeding Alpacas is our Passion!

Our Oregon alpaca farm is nestled within the beautiful, coastal range foothills of the Willamette Valley. Green pastures and tall trees offer a picturesque view of our alpaca herd.  Nearly a lifetime has been spent raising livestock for Cindy, as she grew up on a farm with horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, turkeys, and chickens.  4-H was at the center of her family's activities.  Sherm has always had a love for animals, and became an avid farmer 10 years ago when the couple bought their current Philomath farm.  Since then he has become a "fence-builder extraordinaire", among his many other talents.

At Mountain Jewel Farm, we strive to offer our customer, not only alpacas that possess well-known proven bloodlines, exceptional fleece quality, correct conformation, and that are easy to handle, but superior support and service.  We'll go the extra mile to earn your business.

Free boarding is available for alpacas purchased to allow new breeders time to set up their farm.  Financing to fit any budget is also available.

Among our alpaca herd, resides our color champion proven herd sire, Peruvian Bggy Peruvian Malabar Jack who's been busy producing beautiful crias, as well as our well-proven herdsire purchased from Great Northern Ranch, Snowmass Nova's Inca, co-owned with Keith and Ann Schroder, and a beautiful full Peruvian full Accoyo herdsire, Accoyo America Soloman, who posesses the exceptional Caligula bloodlines and is co-owned with Gabe and Jessica White at Oregon Alpaca Farm. We also have coming up, an outstanding award winning Junior herdsire, MJA Cinnamon Stone who will be just beginning his breeding career Spring 2010.  Add to this a group of beautiful females and that equals a breeding program that's headed to the top.  Please check our photo album pages for new cria arrivals!

We are dedicated mentoring in all aspects of raising and breeding alpacas for new alpaca owners. We can help develop a simple business plan, develop an efficient farm layout plan, offer tips for alpaca health care, and share the best practices for alpaca pasture management.
